One of the most important concepts preached by professionals across the globe is the ‘Elevator’ speech.

That classic two minutes or less self promotional spiel designed to impress as many people as one can feasibly encounter in a lift during their working career!

I’d think the same concept applies to travellers. We spend our days shifting from country to country, meeting countless amounts of new people along the way. An important part of connecting with people is first impressions so it’s beneficial to have a spiel prepared!

Given that I’ll be using my spiel on the road, I think it’s only appropriate that I use it online as well, so here goes!

I’m an Aussie born Englishman with a passion for two things, learning and football! I’ve found the best way to learn is through travelling, so I’ve set upon a world wide trip that will allow me to study all that divides humanity and more importantly what brings us together. Through this study I hope to learn more about myself along the way

Illuminated Traveller will be the home of everything that I learn about the world as well as everything I learn about myself! I hope that by sharing my experiences, I can inspire others to take the leap and start their own journeys of exploration.

Not to bad for a first effort, Hopefully I’ll have alot of chances to refine it as I travel!
